Just north of downtown, the Short North is the iconic arts district of Columbus. Looking north along High Street toward the Ohio State University campus.

Magenta skyline on a cold October morning.

Clouds streaking north in a V-shape over the Columbus skyline.

Columbus put beautiful colored lights on its downtown bridges. What a great idea! If you get up early enough you can see these lights reflected in the Scioto River. Come on, get out of bed and check it out!

The red brick of the Casto Building is set afire by the intense sunrise. Looking back over the Rich Street Bridge.

Looking north along the Scioto River the Columbus Skyline is flanked by the Mirinova on the right. No wind that morning and the river is smooth as glass. The reflection is only slightly distorted.

Wide angle panorama of Columbus, Ohio taken during Astronomical Twilight about an hour before sunrise.

Nautical Twilight shortly before dawn lights up the Columbus skyline with a brilliant blue.

My favorite time to photograph the beautiful Columbus skyline

Standing on the Rich Street Bridge that crosses the Scioto River, a deer gets a great view of the LeVeque Tower along the Columbus skyline.

The sun is rising, light filling the sky, warm city lights still on all lead to wondrous reflections of the cityscape and clouds in the Scioto River.

Columbus skyline ambassador making sure Columbus is ready for the new day. Note how the colors in LeVeque Tower show so much better in the Scioto River reflection.

Beautiful clouds, calm waters in the Scioto and strong clean reflections make for a "Chamber of Commerce" view of Columbus skyline.

Early morning view of Nationwide Arena where the Columbus Blue Jackets play.

All that is left of the historic Union Station is its arch which is located in the Arena District ofColumbus, Ohio.

Looking through a porthole at the Scioto River and Miranova Place.

LeVeque Tower lights reflect as soft pastels on the Scioto River.

At night Columbus turns on its beauty!

Snow covered Scioto River.

Silky smooth Scioto River, snow covered Scioto Mile, quick moving clouds. Elements that add up to a great view of the Columbus skyline.

A cold morning with steam rising from downtown buildings.

Columbus skyline from the Confluence on a cold and steamy day.

Brr! Sometimes you have to go out when you feel like staying home. But then you wouldn’t get this photo.
